Over the past week progress on the plant upgrade has been moving along at a steady pace. We have seen the kiln bedded and lagged to minimise heat loss which was a problem in the past. The focus for this week has continued around the placement of new access ways over the kiln and screen decks and the new bag house has been linked into the plant.
Part of this upgrade has been to relocate and upgrade of the existing electrical control panel and distribution board. This has been moved to be in closer proximity to a majority of the plants operation and isolated from air born dust. In the past these were located in a high traffic area with little protection from dust contamination.
The target date for the completion of these works is the 19th September which is fast approaching. Confidence is high that the date will be achieved and all contractors involved are putting in the final components and a few big hours.
