Today we have seen the roof placed over the new bag house that was lifted yesterday. This new roof section was pre-made in our own workshop and lifted as one piece.
We have also had the new kiln arrive onsite. Looked very impressive on the back of the Page & Macrae truck and not sure how they were going to manage the lift as the opening available did not look in the slightest bit big enough. All credit needs to be given to the team from Todd McPhee and Page & Macrae as the whole lift and install went without a hiccup. Not too sure how they did it, as the working area was very limited and no room for error.
The weather looks as though it will hold until the roof section is back in place and the work can push on without the added worry and pressure of trying to race the rain. 'Fingers crossed'
